"It's an anticipation and a pacing of how things come in and out. You don't want to wear out a technique by plotting it 50 times right off the bat in the beginning. This the kind of the way the lace was weaved, the way the fabric was supposed to sit in the windowsill, and just the way I felt right, in terms of pacing and sequencing and engagement."
